MovableType has an MTInclude tag which allows you to include the contents of a file or template module in another template. You specify the name of the file or module as an attribute to that tag.
This plugin provides similar functionality, except that its tags are container tags where the file to be included is specified as the body of the container (inspired by this forum post). This allows you to use MovableType tags when specifying which file to include.
In addition to including files and template modules, you can also include documents via a URL.
Displays the version of this plugin.
Container tag that includes the contents of a file in your Local Site Path directory or your Local Archive Path directory.
Example: The following code include the contents of the file header.txt
Container tag that includes the contents of a template module from the current blog. MovableType tags in the module are evaluated.
Example: The following code include the contents of the module header
Container tag that includes the contents of a document specified by a URL. Note that restrieving documents by a URL may significantly slow down your rebuild.
Specifies how many seconds the plugin will wait to retrieve the document. The default is 15 seconds.
Specifies the maximum number of bytes to be retrieved. If the document is bigger than the specified size, it is truncated to max_size bytes. The default is unlimited size.
Specifies the UserAgent header that is sent with the request. The default is “MTIncludePlus/version”.
Example: The following code include the contents of the document at http://www.domain.com/header.htm with a timeout value of 5 seconds.
