Magda turned four this week—how the time flies! She actually remembered it was her birthday when she woke up and was excited to see a wrapped present on the table. And she was patient enough to wait for me to return from my run before opening it!

Jfer organized a Tea Party for her on Saturday, with a bunch of her Platypus and Caps friends attending as well as Jfer’s family. As usual, she got way too much stuff and, as usual again, a new (peeing!%$!) doll seems to be her favorite.

I didn’t really contribute all that much to the birthday plans. Except that, to my delight, Magda requested blueberry dumplings for her birthday dinner and the Meringue Chocolate Ice Cream cake that I had made for Jfer’s birthday. The dumplings didn’t turn out all that well (note to self—don’t attempt to use frozen blueberries again) but the cake was a hit.
