Zilker Kite Festival

We made it out to the Zilker Kite Festival today. The conditions were almost perfect: warm, but overcast, with a nice, fairly steady breeze. The only problem was a bit dustiness on the down-wind side of the park. And it was disappointing that the usual suspects didn't make it this year, so we had to hang out on our own.

We stayed for a couple of hours, admiring all the cool big kites and the stunt kite show. I think the guy who was flying two kites at a time was our favorite. Magda loved all the kites in the air and all the dogs on the ground. I didn't get to fly my kite, but hopefully some other time. And maybe next year, Magda will be ready for her first kite.
