Movie Date
We took advantage of a "baby-sitting and movies" Xmas gift on Sunday. We dropped Magda at Elizabeth's and went to the Drafthouse. Despite my preference for more acclaimed fare, like maybe BB Mountain, Munich or even Harry Potter, Jennifer insisted that we see The Ringer. I suspect that she'd developed a crush on the lead actor during his last movie she saw.
The movie was cute, if a bit on the fluffy side, but we felt the ending was a letdown. It felt like they run out of production time and only had a day left to come up with the end. Still, it was enjoyable enough.
My absolutely favorite part was in the cafeteria when "Jeffy" asks one of the guys whether "he can pass the catsup". His response was exactly the same as my usual response to such a question -- which I though was special!
While we were gone, Magda had a great time at Elizabeth's. I always thought of dropping my kid off at someone's as an imposition, but as she gets older, that's not really as much of a case. When we have Kayleigh over, she and Magda entertain each other -- or just themselves -- better than when Magda is by herself. It seems the same is the case when Magda is visiting at Kayleigh's. It's great seeing them interact more and more. And maybe Magda won't pickup Kayleigh's climbing drive (since she hasn't yet picked up her walking drive, either).

Pleezz, don't keep me in suspense! What is your usual response to the question, "Can you pass the ketchup?"
I remember getting excited about Bryan taking his first steps. You wouldn't believe how fast they get around once they learn to walk. It seems like the only time you can catch a break is when they are down for their nap.
My usual response to the question is "Yes" -- and nothing more. :-)
