Father's Day

I had a wonderful Father's Day weekend. Kind of surreal to actually celebrate the holiday from the recipient's point of view (not that I ever really celebrated it for my dad, since they don't do that in the old country).

We trecked up to Ft. Worth on Friday and spend a couple of days at Jennifer's dad's. Nice and relaxing with no chores to do. I even got to see Batman with Danny, Jason and Jfer's dad. The movie was pretty good, but as villains go, the Scarecrow was very lame with zero personality.

We ventured into the Lucio pool a couple of times, and Magda is really starting to enjoy her Baby Spring Float. We also had a wonderful Father's Day Brunch (well, technically it was more like linner) with great home-made tortillas, courtesy of Meredith.

Both trips to and from Ft. Worth actually worked out well. Magda slept at least half the time and behaved well the rest of it. Although we did have to make a stop or two along the way.

Don't forget that Magda is 1/3 the way towards saying "Tia"!
