I Like My Office
Last weekend my work moved to a new office location (that's the 5th office since I joined) and I'm quite happy about it. For one, I now have a window again, and this time it's facing North (i.e. it's not hot) and with a view of nice tree tops. Second, there seems to be plenty of parking under shady, grackle-less oak trees. And third, it's even closer to home than before. Despite several red lights, my 2.8 mile trip home took a little less than 7 minutes.
Not bad at all!

I'm looking forward to seeing the office with furniture in it and seeing your view during daylight.
I can certainly "see" why you are happy to have grackle-less oak trees under which to park your car. I'm envious about your short distance to your office. I thought I as lucky at 8 miles away, but I could almost walk to work at 2.8 miles. Has Jenny seen your office at night in the dark?
I never even knew what a Grackle was until a few days ago...I think they are just as bad as pigeons if not worse. I was at my Mother-In-Law's house on Memorial Day for a cookout. I had stepped out the front door for a you know what and there was this black bird with a really long tail in front of Kevin's truck making one hell of a racket. Apparently the bird saw itself in the chrome bumper. It stayed there in front of the bumper for at least 10 full minutes. It finally hopped away and flew to the back of the van to perch and do it's business. Truthfully, I was quite relieved to see it move elsewhere. The din was starting to give me a migraine.
I concur on the office improvement. Windows rock. Trees rock. I haven't even spent a full day there and I like it. However, my commute didn't change. I guess you can't have everything.
Wow...see what happens when you do not make entries for awhile? I am going to try this approach to getting comments.
