Sad Day For Nation

I think Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio has said it best:

Tonight, President Bush has commanded U.S. forces to go to war in violation of American traditions of defensive war that have lasted since George Washington. This war is wrong; it violates the Constitution and international law.

Kucinich practically ruined the State of Ohio. He is the biggest crook on the face of the earth. How ever got elected to anything once he made a mess of this state is beyond me. I would take Saddam Hussein's word before I would take his.

I don't know anything about Kucinich himself, but he eloquently stated what so many people feel. Bush is doing to Iraq what Iraq was doing to Kuwait in 1990, what the Soviet Union was doing to Hungary in 1956, what Germany was doing to Poland in 1939, etc. You can call it "preemptive strike" if you want, the rest of the world calls it "war of agression".

America is supposed to be better than that!

I agree with you Step. What gives us the right to oppose another countries way of life. If the people of Iraq are being oppressed by Sadaam, is it not up to them to rebel? It almost seems as if Bush wants to conquer the world and make it live by our standards. And another thing, why are we not warring with the likes of Osama Bin Laden?
