Justice Department Cover Up

I thought it was a joke when I heard on the Daily Show that the Justice Department got an $8,000 Curtains to Cover Semi-Nude Statues that stand behind Ashcroft during his PR photo ops. Apparently it's true and was done "for esthetic reasons." Yeah, let's hide art for esthetic reasons!

I can see conservatives griping about financing some of the more controversial "art" but we're talking about classic Art Deco statues that have stood there since the 1930's! There is one measly boob visible and art must be hidden. But maybe it's appropriate that Ashcroft would put a cloak over the "Spirit of Justice".
