Today at work, they installed and espresso machine! You push a button and out comes glorious capuccino, espresso, forthed milk, etc. I will try very hard to limit myself to only a few a day...

jellyfish

I ate yesterday. Jennifer and I were participating in a Korean dinner yesterday and we decided to sontribute a "Mustard Salad" whose main ingerident was jellyfish. We were looking for something that sounded exotic but wasn't too difficult to make. It wasn't easy finding that particular ignerdient since we had no idea what it would look like and had communication problems at most of the asian markets (knowing spanish would have helped). It comes dried in plastic packagesm so it looks like the majority of other items you can by in an asian market - we ended up finding it at Hong Kong market. Once you have it, it's fairly easy to make and it's got an interesting texture.

I find that I'm much more willing to eat strange food if I actually prepare it myself. This includes stuff that I would usualy avoid (green beans, etc.) Anyway, our salad was probably one of the best things at the dinner. Overall, I'm not too impressed with my Korean food experience, I prefer most of the other south east Asian cuisines.

I haven't written anything in a whole month! And it's not like nothing has been happening...

I just got back from a weekend in New York City, where Jennifer took me for my birthday and to see her sister in her very first play in NYC. Off, off, off Broadway, but still in Manhattan...

We had a great time - seeing a play ("Monica and Hillary", with Meredith playing Monica), seeing a Broadway show ("Jane Ayre"), visiting MOMA (my office chair is at the frigging MOMA!) and hanging out with a bunch of Bulgarians.

My office also moved in a new building (hence the new chair) and I can now commute on my bicycle - at least until it gets too hot for that. I like the new place I'm sharing a corner office on a fourth floor and have a pretty neat view.

I got to go to YAW (yet another wedding). I enjoy it when I know a bunch of people at a wedding as in Sam & Cecily's case or, this time, in Scott & Jennifer's. Everyone is always so excited an happy. I'll need to hook up with them at some point to see how their daily life and their self-perception have changed.

I'm busy at work, as always, but like the extra commute time to get some exercise and to listen to the radio.

Oh, and Bush is still a punk ass chump.
